THE NCD basketball team have performed exceptionally well against other countries and states at the Arafura Games in Darwin.
However, it was under the guidance of coach Boyet Daroya, who had seen the players prove themselves as worthwhile opponents and take basketball to the next level.
Team NCD chef-de-mission Kila Dick said he was impressed with the performance of the players under Daroya.
NCD deputy city manager for social services Honk Kiap, general manager Numa Alu and other team officials, who had been following the team’s performance from day one, expressed similar sentiments.
Dick said he had seen a lot of improvement in the performance of the NCD players under Daroya.
“Thank you for assisting the NCD basketball team at the games. From now on you will be a permanent feature to NCD basketball team,” Dick told Daroya in Darwin.
