THE main objective of the newly elected PNG Darts Federation executive is to give the sport an active and vibrant future.

President elect Nigel Kiaka of Madang said his executives have a strong urge to make darts more friendly and regularly publicised to gain popularity and be acknowledge by the wider community – even to remote localities.

He said his executives will draw up a calendar that will be posted to all members and interested associations so they know and prepare for events.

The new executives will have to meet within the next two months to review that PNG Darts Constitutions and establish a proper bank account from which the Darts Federation will operate

” We will then encourage associations in the country to complete their affiliation and only from the memberships, we will be able to run scheduled events,” Kiaka said.

“We are also hoping to have a web page set up so that all information about darts in the country, player ranking, calendar and other such information can be easily accessed by member associations and interested parties,” he said.

Some of the key areas to the executives aim to implement in the sport are:

  • Maintaining an on-going membership with the PNG Olympics Committee and the World    Dart Federation;
  • Regulate and monitor member associations to comply with legal and other such requirements;
