THE Darts Federation of Papua New Guinea has postponed its meeting to March 27 at 9.00am in Madang during the National club championships.

This decision was arrived at in a meeting by the president Nigel Kiaka, vice president John Kuaru, Hetahu Guru (treasurer) and agreed to by the secretary general, Wilma Uiari. The meeting took place on Dec 16 at Beer Garden in Lae, Morobe.

This meeting was witnessed by various darts associations including Port Moresby, Lae Aviat Club Dart Association, Wampar, Lahi and the proposed Morobe Darts through their respective presidents.

Kiaka said the reason for postponing the meeting was because it was too early in the year and six associations have so far affiliated, which is not a fair representation of all associations in the country who must have a say in their election of new executives.

“The postponement will give associations time to affiliate,” he said.

He said in the national club championships, two teams are expected from each association with a written indication from their respective association president stating that the teams are the premier and minor premier from the 2015 season.

The meeting had resolved that teams are to produce their master sheets of 2015 and 2016 to prove that all players are financial members of the participating team.

“Each team will be required to  register an amount of K200 and each player must pay K50.  The fees can be paid to the Darts Federation’s bank account or at the registration time at the venue,” Kiaka said.
