The proposed National Darts club championship sanctioned by the Papua New Guinea Darts Federation (PNGDF) is officially confirmed to take place in Lae during the Queen’s Birthday holiday in June.

PNGDF president Nigel Kiaka announced the date and said the Lae Corporate Darts Association (LACDA) and Lahi Darts Association (LDA) would co-host the championship with support from other smaller associations within Lae. The championship will be from June 6-9 and only the minor premiers and 2013 champions from each association are eligible.

Kiaka said all affiliated associations throughout the country are to submit their confirmation letter signed by their local executives and submit to the national executives for approval before the end of May.

He said the national darts club championship is a new competition introduced by the new executives to find the champion club in the country and to provide a pathway forward for darts.
