Datec opens shop in Hagen

 EXPANDING a business is an integral part of any organisation, and providing the best products and service to customers is vital to its success, according to Datec PNG Limited.

The company last week opened its new retail shop in Mt Hagen, Western Highlands. 

It is a subsidiary of Telikom Group which had opened retail shops in Goroka and Madang.

Datec has big retail outlets in Port Moresby and Lae. 

Telikom chief executive officer Michael Donnelly said: “We live in an information age. 

“The new infrastructure and the services we are developing in our group of companies particularly Datec are very important.

“Fundamentally, we are building the capability and the services to deliver PNG into the future.” 

Jim Pena, the second secretary to Minister for Public Enterprises and State Investments and Hagen MP William Duma, thanked Telikom for the ICT facility in Mt Hagen.

“I commend Telikom Group for the ICT shop set up which will serve the people of Hagen town,” he said.

“We acknowledge Datec’s presence in Mt Hagen.”

The Telikom Foundation which is partnering Datec to improve education donated computer sets to 12 schools in Mt Hagen.
