EAGLE Personal Viability (PV) Business Scheme Ltd has signed an agreement with the Human Development Institute (HDI) to help Papua New Guineans own businesses.
HDI founder Samuel Tam told The National that the company was designed to help members and shareholders prosper.
As a lead-up to the event last week, 11 members of the Eagle PV business scheme attended a month-long corporate training.
Tam said for the last 50 years, he had been looking for an entity to partner to help Papua New Guineans and Eagle PV business scheme met the criteria.
He said they would work on a business plan to see which province to start at next year.
“I’m really happy because it’s a company that helps Papua New Guineans,” Tam said.
“They are the first lot to form a company to undertake this project.
“I have signed agreements with associations but not a company.
“I’m really happy that they are going to help the little people put some food on the table and help with their children in their health and education as well,” he said.
“We complement each other and have found the missing puzzle piece that we have been searching.”
