Deal to boost loan repayment

WOMEN’s Micro Bank (Mama Bank) customers can now repay their loans and contribute to their savings using Digicel’s CellMoni wallet.
This was made possible through a partnership between Digicel Financial Services Ltd and the Women’s Micro Bank to facilitate loan repayment and contribution to savings for customers.
Digicel PNG chief executive officer Colin Stone said CellMoni continued to increase its footprint in the country bringing mobile financial services, convenience and security to businesses and individuals alike.
“This partnership will facilitate women banking with Mama Bank to repay their loans on time without standing in queues, paying transportation to visit a branch, and will improve their finances as they can pay small values every day or every week without any additional cost.
“This partnership will increase Mama Bank’s branches from nine, to now include the CellMoni agents of 1,200 while driving women’s financial inclusion through mobile money.”
