Deal with Covid-19 in a positive way

Letters

OUR country is struck by a pandemic and it appears that all our leaders have forgotten the art of leadership skills when trying to address the problem of Coronavirus (Covid-19).
We currently face a dilemma between those vaccinated and those not vaccinated.
Some have been vaccinated over fears of losing their jobs while others lost theirs over refusing to take the jab.
People are dying, but we do not have proof to confirm whether all the deaths were a result of Covid-19.
I believe leaders have a duty to keep people together as one family and ensure they are happy.
Leaders should not cause disunity among the people because of a disease, outside influence or any other matter.
Before taking the easy way out of making the people redundant and denying their rights to access goods and services, try to exhaust other options first.
Let us take a more positive approach.
Rather than forcing people against their will with the “no jab, no job” policy, we can allow people to work remotely and continue adhering to the New Normal measures.
Sometimes, I think God uses chaos to help us to think outside the box and expand our thoughts and wisdom above our normal ways of dealing with issues.
Though our circumstances may look bad, leaders should not panic.
They should be calm and ensure that whatever decision they make is in line with our “one people, one country and one nation” slogan.
