Dealing with people’s needs

I WROTE to this newspaper several weeks ago proposing that the Government of Prime Minister Peter O’Neill use the proceeds of our natural resources – gold, copper, nickel, oil, gas, timber and cash crops – to subsidise food like rice and tinned fish for ordinary citizens.
To date, I have not seen or received any response from the national Government.
The Government is made up of elected representatives who are the voice of the people and they should therefore listen to the people and deal with their needs.
You are in Parliament to address the needs of the people.
Remember that the Government is not there to serve foreigners but the indigenous people of Papua New Guineans.
