DEC must explain

Letters, Normal

WHY are we engaging Australians to prepare our Copenhagen report at high fees when officers at Office of Climate Change and Environment Sustainability are collating information for the purpose?
Is this not a conflict of interest for Australians to prepare our report for the Copenhagen meeting?
How consistent will this report be compared to the likely joint-report by the Coalition of Rainforest Nations (CfRN) headed by Kevin Conrad?
Is there no competent Papua New Guinean to take charge of preparing this report?
The secretary for DEC and acting executive director of OCCES should explain to the public why Australians are preferred over the local technical experts.
