Dedicate children to God: Evangelist
The National, Thursday February 4th, 2016
CHILDREN are a gift from God and they need to be blessed and dedicated to Him so their future can be guided by Christian principles.
These were the words of Western Highlands-based evangelist Garry Pet when praying and dedicating the children from Baiyer district to God on Sunday during a service.
Pet dedicated 40 students and 15 infants to God.
The children and their parents were from Kimben Rami village in Baiyer.
A three-day Gospel crusade was held, leading to the dedication service. “Committing and giving back to God the entire life a child will bring in good results,” Pet said..
“If you want your child to become somebody important in future, then offer him or her to God so that his blessings can be on your child,” he said. Pet said many parents did not know the importance of God’s blessings to children when they were dedicated.
He said for the parents in Baiyer they made a wise decision to dedicate their children to God.
Pet said parents have a responsibility to play and that is to see how their children lived.
“God gave us the blessings and it is good to ask Him to come into our lives and direct our path,” he said.
He said the life of a child and parents belonged to God and parents must offer their children to him.
Pet said for the students, their education would become brighter because they have asked God to bless it. He said people were making their lives hard when they did not know the real source of life.
“I commended the parents for making a wise decision for your child because you have come to realise that God is the source of everything. “If others adapted to this system, then the country will have God-fearing leaders and people.”
Pet said under his ministry, he has been engaging in such activities and has witnessed God moving greatly upon the lives of many people.
He said people must realise that all things will take place for those who are pure in heart.
He said his ministry was focusing on bringing the Good News to the lost souls and raising awareness for the coming of the Kingdom of God.
