Deepsea mining not for PNG

WHEN people say that the government is for the people by the people, why did our government disrespect the people by accepting deepsea mining?
Why not invest and develop the agriculture sector, the backbone of our country?
Other countries are facing environmental effects from their actions on the environment and we are now taking advantage of that by exporting cocoa, coffee and other agricultural produce
If we were to allow deepsea mining to go ahead, can we say for sure there will be no harmful effects?
The government should be reminded that we are one of the top exporters of tuna in the world today.
Do we want to sacrifice the future of our children?
Unlike other countries, we are unable to manage our wealth properly.
