DEFENCE catcher Kepas Mormor erased his bad-boy image to spark his team to a two-point victory over Wolves (6-4) in the main softball game of the Port Moresby men’s A grade competition at the Bisini softball diamond on Sunday.
Wolves were leading 4-2 at the bottom of the fourth inning and looked sure of victory.
However, at the top of the fifth inning, the tide changed in favour of Defence.
Mormor earlier was involved in a helmet throwing incident involving Wolves Kolis Pagal at the top of the fourth after his attempt to tag out Pagal failed.
The push-and-shove fracas was quickly brought under control by match officials with Mormor chastised for losing his cool.
Mormor helped Daniel Piakolos to narrow the score 4-3 and he later helped Bernard Pope, who levelled the score at 4-4, while he came home for a shaky 5-4 lead.
