DIGICEL Gordon’s Kokofas need to polish their defence to overpower a determined City Pharmacy Gerehu Magpies in the BSP AFL premier division at Taurama oval tomorrow.

After four rounds, the Willie Yogomin-coached team has won two games with the opposition having a single win in their debut season.

It will be a mammoth task as both sides comprise of exciting footballers.

But the Kokofas have the advantage, having played together for sometime under the guidance of mentor Yogomin and are ready to fire.

They were unlucky to go down to the Lamana Dockers by four points 54-50 last week.

Yogomin will rely on John Vincent, Kaleb Ila, Neil Malabag and Charlie Arua to call the shots against Bruce Sovara and the other potentials.

Their first win against Bombers 103-14 gave the team added confidence.

Kokofas have the players but need greater determination, commitment and discipline to do well in the competition.

In the other encounters Koboni take on Bombers, Dockers play the Taurama Suns.

In the main fixture, Gulf Giants and Defence Hawks tussle at the Murray Barracks Oval.

At the Taurama oval, the University Tigers winning run will be put to the test by the Bomana Cats.
