LOCAL business women who are travelling to China today will be using this opportunity to find markets for their products and to expand their operations.
PNG Women in Business (WiB) president Janet Sape said last Friday the women entrepreneurs had already sent their various products to the China for the Shanghai 2010 world trade expo.
Sape said the women were winners of the Lae WiB expo this year.
She said it was unfortunate that one of the winners, bilum wear specialist Florence Jaukae, would be travelling to New Zealand to participate in the Pacific WiB expo where bilum wear is in big demand.
The other four travellers are Central rubber farmer, councillor Elizabeth Gonoua, East Sepik guest house operator Julie Kenni, Chimbu tailor Sophie Kapua and Port Moresby-based jeweler Lari Fareho.
Sape said the delegates are determined to find independent markets for themselves and to establish business contacts with other similar entrepreneurs to further widen their skills and capabilities.
