Department needs shake-up

Letters

Appropriate authorities have turned a blind eye on a department which has been mismanaged by political cronies without delivering any tangible outcomes.
The department is facilitating new investments and self-owned business opportunities to generate employment and expand the tax base within the past two and half years.
The same department allowed theft of furniture’s and computers worth several millions during the transfer of office to a new location earlier this year.
Even the fleet of vehicles were sold below 10 per cent of the salvage value sanctioned by the National Procurement Authority.
In the new location, there is no power connection, computers and the first quarter is almost over.
There is more rot exposed by whistleblowers since 2018 but no one took heed of them and the symptoms are now very obvious.
It requires all those in management positions of that department to be immediately sidelined and investigated to account for their action to serve their political masters.

  • Which Department are you referring to? Name it so that the people responsible can be dealt with accordingly
