THE Department of Information and Communications Technology has partnered with an Estonian firm to develop further cooperation in e-governance technologies, secure data exchange and interoperability.
Cybernetica signed a memorandum of understanding with the department during the Dubai Expo 2020 last Sunday.
Cybernetica was represented by its business development consultant Kevin Tammearu at the signing.
According to Tammearu it is the first step towards supporting the development of e-governance in PNG.
“We’ll start from the implementation of a secure data exchange, to build a strong foundation upon which further digital services can be developed,” he said.
“In addition to the technology, however, Cybernetica will also advise stakeholders and offer support, for example, in designing policies required for successful digitalisation.”
