Dept beat Lagatois as Media Pool celebrates Independence

THE Department of Mineral Policy and Geohazards Management. edged National Capital District Commission Lagatois 4-3 in the Media Pool competition in Port Moresby on Saturday. The department used their big guns, including Ralph Kaina and Noel Ramos, to secure the win.
The department’s Margaret Siederleben and Madeline Kaina lost their games.
“I had gone for the wrong ball and lost this frame but it’s all good that we won 4- 3,” Siederleben said.
“It was the wrong option, so I ended up going down.”
Media Pool chairman Tony Sipa commended all the teams for celebrating Independence Day by wearing provincial and national colours.
“There was traditional dancing, comedy and songs,” Sipa said.
Sipa said he was proud that all the teams celebrations responsibly.
He thanked all the sponsors for supporting the sport.
“This was incredible as the judging of prizes was transparently done and announced by media personality Kilian Amini,” Sipa said.
