Digicel backs city park

 DIGICEL has announced its support towards the work of the Port Moresby Nature Park as a gold sponsor. 

The sponsorship package involves the provision of free internet service, a closed user group (CUG) mobile plan for the Nature Park staff and the resale of electronic flex valued at K34,000.

Digicel PNG CEO John Mangos said the telecommunication company was proud to be of support to the Port Moresby Nature Park through a sponsorship package totalling K70,000.

Nature Park general manager Michelle McGeorge commended Digicel for their continued support.

“The support means that we can now cut down on administrative cost and divert more funds towards a number of programmes including animal rescue,” McGeorge said.

The former National Capital Botanical Gardens is a combined botanical and zoological park and gardens dedicated to the promotion of PNG’s flora and fauna.
