DIGICEL renewed its sponsorship for another year with the Port Moresby Nature Park yesterday.
Products and services of Digicel worth K70,000 will support the park’s operational activities next year.
Digicel PNG has been a proud gold sponsor of Nature Park since 2012 through the provision of closed user group (CUG), internet, EVD top-up and maintenance support.
Digicel PNG senior vice-president and chief sales officer Lorna McPherson said: “We have been a sponsor to the park since their infant stages back in 2012.
“We are delighted to have been a part of their growth and accomplishments over the years.
“This sponsorship marks our seventh year of partnership.
“We look forward to being part of more events and projects to come.
“We are happy to see this partnership continue.
“We know that there are many exciting events and projects coming up for the park and it’s an honour to be part of it.”
Digicel has also assisted the park through networking of the entry building when it was built in 2013, as well as through staff volunteering in public day events hosted by the park.
Park general manager Michelle McGeorge said Digicel’s sponsorship had enabled the park to dream big and achieve big.
“Funds saved have enabled us to redirect them into activities including construction of our reptile house, development of new attractions and creation of new learning opportunities.”
