DIGICEL (PNG) Ltd yesterday launched its flagship retail outlet in downtown Port Moresby.
The newly renovated glossy, red coloured outlet invited customers and spectators alike to try out services Digicel has on offer.
Chief executive John Mangos said: “This event marks the start of a renovation rollout programme that Digicel plans to carry out in all its flagship stores nationwide.
“The main purpose for this is to maintain Digicel’s brand standards through world-class products and services by making sure that our customers are offered the best of both as soon as they step through the doors of our stores.”
The outlet has a walk-in-friendly staff, lounges and a plasma television screen for customers’ entertainment and conformability while being served.
The display cabinets show the cell phone brands that Digicel is currently selling.
Among them are Motorola Krazer K1 which sells for K199,   down from K999, and Motorola WX280 with radio, camera and SIM which sells for K91.
Digicel plans to carry out renovations at all its retail outlets in the country soon.
