Digicel praised

ON behalf of all the grassroots people of Papua New Guinea, I thank Digicel for introducing an affordable mobile phone network to the country. Several decades back, only big-shots and rich people were able to buy mobile phones and it had been a wish for every ordinary person like myself to own one.
The cost of one was sky-high as the then Pacific Mobile Communications Ltd trading as bmobile enjoyed the monopoly.
I am pleased that Digicel brought its mobile phone network to connect both the rural and urban population.

You provide training and employ Papua New Guineans in different fields and the Digicel Foundation delivers vital services to disadvantaged communities.
