Digicel PNG Foundation alongside 2015 and 2016 Men of Honour ambassadors will begin their awareness roadshow in Lae tomorrow.
The roadshow was an advocacy programme for the Men of Honour awards, an outreach campaign against violence, of which The National is a sponsor.
The ambassadors were being utilised by the  foundation to reach out to communities, civil society and corporate bodies to tell their stories to inspire ordinary people into doing extraordinary deeds.
The aim of the roadshow was to create conversations of change among communities to address violence in PNG.
“The key message of the advocacy programme is to use the Men of Honour ambassadors’ positive behaviour and status as good role models to influence change in society, and will be conducted in various schools, universities, youth and church groups,” Digicel PNG Foundation’s chief executive officer Beatrice Mahuru said.
The advocacy team would visit three communities and business houses to talk about all forms of violence and find possible ways to address abuse.
