The locally-owned company allocated K10,000 to stage the tournament over the last four weekends which had attracted high interest from the rugby community in Lae.
The offseason was used to draw youths away from illegal activities in the community.

In the end, the Cup winners were Dirty Eight who are made up of youths from Tent City and the Miles area. The winners City Lights (plate) and Igam’s Spartans (bowl).
Meanwhile, interim officials are appealing to all clubs interested to take part to register with K50 and arrive at the oval at 9am on Saturday.
Games coordinator Lahu Posu said a women’s sevens division would be included in the sevens next weekend and will look at including it in the 15s pre-season calendar.
“Our main aim to promote the code and keep youths away from illegal activities and concentrate on something useful with their lives,” Posu said.
“We also like to take this time to thank 411 Entertainment for their continued support towards running the sevens tourney in preparation for the season.”
