THE National Board for Disabled Persons (NBDP) donated four water beds and five water cushions to the Vanimo General Hospital on Jan 20.
The items will be used for patients with special needs, including those in wheelchairs.
This is the first time the board has made such a donation to the hospital.
NBDP chairman Brown Kapi presented a cheque for K2,000 to the hospital in his capacity as chairman of the Papua New Guinea Rehabilitation Centre.
Hospital caretaker chief executive officer, Alphonse Yalim said it was a worthy assistance because items for persons with disabilities like these were hard to find in PNG.
