BOUGAINVILLE Affairs Minister Joe Lera is concerned about the welfare of first-year students attending the University of Papua New Guinea is the semester is disrupted.
Lera said the first-year students might lose their places to the new intake of Grade 12 students coming in next year.
Lera and Jimmy Miringtoro decided to move the female students out of the UPNG campus while the male students remained.
He said the students had been advised to return home if the academic year was suspended.
