Dissolve Goroka Hospital board

THE new surgical and diagnostic facility has boosted Goroka hospital on its recent elevation to a regional referral centre by the Minister for health and HIV/AIDS Elias Kapavore.
Credit should go to the Vamed group and the former government of PNG in which the current prime minister was part of it and also a tremendous effort by certain individuals.
We, the people of Eastern Highlands, are happy that this new surgical facility is built in our province.
By the way, we the people of Eastern Highlands are still waiting eagerly when the board that was appointed and sworn-in some five months ago, to be dissolved.
The true figures of the neonatal deaths as the result of Klebsiella infection in our special care nursery was hidden before the WHO investigation team arrived.
We hid the death registry book to safe guard our employment or get terminated if we disobey this order. As a result, the WHO investigation team did not get the true and honest figure of deaths from Klebsiella bacteria.
Governor, Peter Numu’s figure of 35 deaths is true.
We are openly inviting the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), health minister, governor and anybody else who could help to look into this matter seriously.
