Distribute funds fairly to districts

I SYMPATHISE with Rabaul MP Allan Marat’s dismay at the delay in the distribution of DSIP funds.

Can Finance Minister James Marape explain why disbursement of funds intended for the people of Rabaul, Bulolo, Vanimo-Green and the other affected districts has not happened?

Residents in these districts are suffering as a result of politics.

They are entitled to have access to basic services to alleviate and minimise their hardships.

These affected districts are much bigger than their MPs and should not be held at ransom because of their leaders’ actions on the floor of Parliament.

This Government has been preaching about service delivery since the elections.

We need to see its promises fulfilled.
