Divine Word opens new homes for students

Education

Divine Word University’s campus in Wewak has opened two new residential halls.
They will cater for students, both males and females, doing the primary school education bachelor’s programme.
One residential hall will be used by women while the other will be used by the men.
The residential halls were funded by the Department of Higher Education at a cost of K3 million.
The Wewak campus hosts the Madang-based university’s school of education.
It was originally St Benedict’s Teachers’ College.
It is one of the first teachers’ colleges in the country to introduce a bachelor’s degree in primary school teaching.
