Divine Word’s St Benedict’s Campus prepares to welcome first students

THE Divine Word University’s St Benedict’s Campus at Kaindi in Wewak, East Sepik, is ready to welcome its first 40 students this year for the Boram School of Nursing programme under the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
St Benedict’s campus president Dr Lawrence Arokiaraj said with the completion of classrooms and an assimilation room, the university is ready for the new intakes.
Prime Minister Peter O’Neill officiated the ground breaking ceremony for the school last year.
Arokiaraj thanked National Planning Minister Richard Maru and the government for the support and confidence in the university and its facility in training nurses for the country. Enrolment will be from Feb 4-8 and classes will start on Feb 11.
The campus has five new lecturers for the nursing programme.
