Do not just invest in roads but in other services too

I WOULD like to thank Menyamya MP, Benjamin Philip for prioritising and investing in roads linking up the district.

As a matter of fact, the district is known for its organic coffee production apart from other coffee producing districts in Morobe.

Road is the only route accessed by coffee buyers and transporters, business people and vehicle owners as well as public servants and the people.

However, other development services that need to be delivered should not be overlooked.

Philip should prioritise and invest equally in education, health, human resource, law and order, post offices, airstrip and bank.

All these services are run down from lack of funding, equipment and staffing as well as lack of proper coordination and management.

Investing in roads alone is not enough because the people will fall behind in other services.

What has he been doing in his first term as we are still waiting for him to deliver?

Nothing much has been done in the past five years and to prioritise just roads in his second term is neglecting other services.

Therefore he should plan and look into prioritising and investing equally in all other areas of development for the betterment for the people in the district.
