Do not remove guard rails

IT is sad to read about the loss of lives of our countrymen and women in big numbers.

I convey my heartfelt condolences to the families and relatives of the recent accident in Western Highlands.

We have to look after the services provided by the government.

A guard rail was constructed to protect traffic from running off the main road into the gorge.

But it was removed by some primitive-minded people.

If it was still there, it could have saved everyone on board the PMV.

The works department needs to carry out road inspections and install necessary road signages and protection in criti-

cal areas to avoid accidents.
