Do something about rogue cops

Letters

SOME police personnel are going out of control.
They lack discipline and proper training to address law and order issues. In Papua New Guinea, we have high frequency of police brutality.
The misconduct of police officers can easily be seen in society.
Police-issued firearms, uniforms and vehicles are often used by civilians.
Most times, police use firearms as their shields to threaten civilians and forcefully seize their belongings.
That is beyond their professional code of conduct.
We cannot wait to expect change and tolerate ill conducts from the police. We cannot blindly say our culture of corruption will slowly die away as time goes by.
Something needs to be done.
