DOCKERS ended round six of the Port Moresby Australian Football League competition with a 86-21 victory over Gereka Bombers in round six at the Colts Oval on Sunday.
The Dockers were quick from the get-go with experienced campaigner Bena Michael and Chris Mong leading their charge in the forwards.
The Dockers’ pace in the centres saw them quickly move the ball with three goals and four behinds for a 28-0 lead in the first quarter.
The second quarter saw the Dockers continue their attack to force the Bombers to defend as they bagged three more goals and three behinds for a 50-2 lead at halftime.
The Bombers found some luck with the experience of Ashley Keiloi steering their attack.
However, poor kicking proved costly with only three goals taken in the second half and only three behinds for the entire game.
In the second half, fatigue set in as the Bomber defended their territory with Ruben Wagi in the backs.
But the experience of the Dockers’ attack saw them outclass their opponents with another five goals and six behinds to see out the win.
