Doctors spin ahead in media pool
SPIN Doctors have so far won the most number of frames after three games of the second stage in the popular National Gaming Control Board media pool competition at the Lamana Hotel.
The Doctors have won 17 frames and lost only four in their three comprehensive victories and head Group B with six points.
Niusmakers, also with three wins from as many outings, are second ahead of another unbeaten side, NBC.
Group A is headed by Eye Magine Cuestars, who are also enjoying a clean run with Parliament Tambarans, City Pharmacy and reigning champions Kundu 2.
In last Saturday’s games, Doctors easily thumped NCDC 5-2 and Telikad 6-1 to maintain their undented run so far.
In other Group B games, Wantoks defeated Strangers 6-1, Business Times beat Poi Nangu 4-3, NBC thrashed NauFM 6-1, Niusmakers clobbered Strangers 5-2, SPC hammered NCDC 5-2, Wantoks beat Post-Courier 5-2, NBC edged Crime Stoppers 4-3, CG Originals pipped B Times 4-3 and Poi Nangu thrashed NauFM 7-0.
