RAUKELE Dolphins are eyeing another major victory as they prepare for their Volleyball Fairfax pre-season grand final which will be staged at the Papua New Guinea Education Institute courts tomorrow, says an official.
Association president Patrick Morea said the grand finals would be exciting as newcomers Gaire would face Raukele Dolphins in the women’s division and rookies Moukele would meet Dolphins in the men’s category.
Morea said Dolphins had won all their pre-season games to secure their first grand final appearance.
“Theresa Fagau and Lauren Yikolisa will be watched closely as they’re the main weapons for Raukele,” Morea said.
Gaire will be led by Evelyn Tavaperry, Katie Ian, Rose Mauri and Hanua Gima.
“Dolphins can attack from all over the court,” Morea said. “I’m sure Gaire coach Tau Fisherman Tavaperry has a game plan to stop Dolphins.” Meanwhile, in the men’s division, Papua New Guinea Amoa representative Rolley Forova will be in charge of the Dolphins line-up, backed by Andrew Kapi and Ronnie Kila as their main blockers.
