Donation for operation centre

POLICE are manning the National Operations Centre at Morauta Haus in Port Moresby.
Acting Deputy Police Comm (acting DPM) and state of emergency operations commander Donald Yamasombi made this known after the Motor Vehicle Insurance Ltd (MVIL) donated water, soft drinks, coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits to them on Tuesday.
“We have staff who maintain this call centre 24 hours, every day and in order to keep them going, such donation goes a long way,” he said.
“This donation will sustain us to fight this pandemic, we can’t do it on our own.”
MVIL chief executive officer Michael Makap pledged MVIL’s support to the Government to disseminate essential Covid-19 information and materials to communities.
Makap said: “As a State-owned enterprise, we have a corporate responsibility to give back to the community.”
