Don’t alter entitlements

LEAVE fares are entitlements.
There should not be any deductions and alterations made to the selected transport mode by the Education Department.
Teachers on leave have worked hard for two academic years.
The unnecessary change of transport mode and massive deductions on the leave fares by the Education Department is not rewarding for the professional services rendered to the State through Teaching Services Commission (TSC).
Teachers have chosen transport modes according to the distance and the likely risks that might occur.
The officers take their family to their home provinces to spend Christmas with their extended family members, friends, and community members and even to participate in regional obligations of interests.
Once applications are received, thoroughly check and make submissions for budget appropriation.
There is no need to alter the chosen transport mode and direct teachers to travel by the Education Department’s desired transport mode.
