Don’t forget former govt officers

Letters

MY father Puri Malt of Warkie clan of Dei Council in Western Highlands served in the 1960s as a tultul, peace officer, magistrate, and a councilor.
He served as a councilor for 35 years.
I believe him and many others who served as tultuls, luluwais and kiaps during those hard days should be recognised with Queen’s medal for their services.
Our leaders are easily forgetting such people.
