Don’t let parents pay fees alone

Letters

WE all know that the last 11 months have been tough.
Last year, the schooling calendar was not fully completed.
Thanks to the Government for helping us pay for our children’s school fees.
The Covid-19 has really killed us all.
There is a rumour that the Government would stop helping parents to pay school fees.
This means we will pay 100 per cent of school fees.
If that is true, we urge Prime Minister James Marape to reconsider that decision.
If it is true, some of us parents will really be feeling the effect of the Covid-19.
During this tough times, we will greatly appreciate if the Government still come to our aid please.
Help from the Government at this time will be necessary.
We all felt the pinch of the Covid-19, even the working parents, especially those who have children in tertiary institutions.
The students have also felt the impact of this pandemic in their school work, which they will not forget throughout their lives.
The students will appreciate and remember Prime Minister James Marape as a helper in tough times.
Please don’t restrict children attending classes at the beginning of the school year because of school fees.
Most parents would appreciate the support and remember that the Government was with them through good and bad times.

Parent,
Lihir
