IT is certainly a food station with a difference that delivers orders to your door using a “you ring, we bring” concept that has never been done in PNG.
Located at the bottom of Lawes Road in Konedobu at the former BP Service Station, it is a new addition to businesses in the area.
It is called The Food Station and is managed by Peter Osborne – brother of Port Moresby identity Graham Osborne, who manages Ozzies bar at the Ela Beach Hotel.
Staff at food station told The National the eatery was popular among the expatriate community who pay through a mobile BSP Eftpos service that delivery driver takes with him.
“We do not accept cash when food is delivered, the customer pays through bank cards,” Regina Tongia, front-counter assistant at the food station, said.
The popular items delivered to offices or homes were pizzas in small, medium and large sizes – K30, K50 and K55.
Transport fee is separate at about K20. Other food selections, soft-drinks and alcoholic beverages are also available. – Words by  YEHIURA  HRIEHWAZI
