Dorm built for PNG students in Cebu

 AN education agency has built a boarding dormitory called “Aryana” which is exclusive for Papua New Guinea students below 18 years old studying in the Philippines.

PNG students who wish to study in the Philippines can now feel like at home as Paradise International Education Consultancy (PIEC) opened the newly-built Aryana dormitory in May 2013, located in Cebu, Philippines.

Aryana dormitory is a boarding facility intended for students below 18 years old registered under PIEC. 

This brand new boarding house is managed by PIEC. 

The dormitory provides 24-hour supervision by professional educators and staff trained under the “Australian Boarding Schools Association” standards. 

Tutors will also be on site during the set study times.

It can house 48 students, 24 in the male dorm and 24 in the female dorm. 

Each dorm is an open plan room with lots of natural light and ventilation. It also serves PNG food to the boarders. Its location is such that it is accessible to public vehicles, a mall, a church, and the schools.

High school students may choose to enroll in the following schools: Sacred Heart School Ateneo de Cebu, Center for International Education, University of Southern Philippines Foundation, Saint Theresa’s College, Maria Montessori International School, and many more. 

Grade 10 PNG graduates may go straight to universities for degree programmes, because the Philippine school system has no Grades 11 and 12. 

PIEC have been enrolling students to universities such as the University of Southern Philippines, University of San Carlos, Indiana Aerospace University, Cebu Doctor’s University and University of the Philippines.

The agency can enroll students in high school or university. 

Through PIEC’s facilitation services, per student all-inclusive annual expenses are K20,000 to K25,000, which includes education placement, orientation, study skills seminars, visa assistance, tutoring and pastoral care, organising accommodation, and managing students’ finances.
