THE district services improvement programme policy is improving service delivery and impacting the lives of the people after 40 years, Goilala MP William Samb says.
Samb said while the funds were creating wonders, misappropriation of funds by the bureaucracy remained.
He said one of the concerns was public servants demanding allowances to do their paid jobs.
Samb said district treasury officers who were on Government payroll continued to ask for allowances to do their paid job.
He said in a recent incident, his district treasury officers drew a cheque of K40,000 for their use as allowances to compile acquittals.
Samb said the bureaucracy needed to stop the practice of demanding allowances to do their paid job.
