Newly appointed Minister for Transport and Infrastructure and Madang  MP Nixon Duban continues to invest in agriculture to boost his people’s capacity and ability to be self-reliant.

Duban, in partnership with Cocoa Coconut Institute (CCI), purchased hybrid cocoa and materials and delivered them to the six cocoa cooperative societies in Transgogol Local Level Goverment (LLG) in Madang district.

The corporative societies are Keram, Gogol Naru, Madang West, and Kamate. Five of the cooperatives received K30,000 each while Kamate got K50,000.

Duban’s electoral officer Collins Iwap said the minister provided funds last year to cooperatives to help the growers get good planting material.
