Duma decision right

THIS is a response to the letter “Hagen Open funds not for WHP’s use” (The National, Nov 23) by “Rural kange” criticising Mt Hagen MP William Duma. 
I think Mr Duma made the right decision by buying six new vehicles for the Mt Hagen police force because Governor Tom Olga and former governor Paias Wingti are occupied with their court battle and there is no provincial government in place.
The police are the only source to control law and order problems.
As such, if the local MPs can help the police, their actions should be welcomed and not criticised.
