Duma: My party backs O’Neill

UNITED Resources Party leader William Duma says his party has eight MPs who will side with Prime Minister Peter O’Neill in tomorrow’s no-confidence vote against him.
This includes URP’s newest recruit, Madang Governor Jim Kas, from Government coalition partner National Alliance.
“There are eight (URP MPs),” Duma told The National from Alotau yesterday.
“The Government is intact.
“There are 80 of us here.”
He denied speculation that URP was joining the Opposition.
“No, no, no,” Duma said.
“That’s not true.
“I think the Opposition is putting up propaganda. I can tell you that, no.
“We have a strategic alliance with People’s National Congress Party which we signed more than a year ago.
“We are bound by that.
“I want to assure you that I do not believe in going from party to party.”
