OFFICE of Censorship chief censor Jim Abani has reminded staff that they are there to serve the people.
He made this known during their first general staff meeting for the year in Port Moresby yesterday.
Abani stressed on two issues during the meeting:

  • A new culture to incorporate a time of devotion into daily activities; and,
  • Staff to provide weekly reports to supervisors and supervisors to provide monthly report to executive manager and for the executive manager to provide quarterly report to the chief censor.

Acting deputy chief censor Lovelyn Douglas, along with the executive management team of Nancy Kilala (executive manager corporate services division), Ilikomau Ali (executive manager strategic policy and coordination division) and Poveta Posa (acting executive manager enforcement and compliance division) supported and commended the chief censor on the new approach and encouraged the staff to take them onboard to improve the Office of Censorship.
Ali said to implement their annual operational plans, everyone was required to work as a team and accomplish their tasks.
He encouraged the management and staff to take ownership.
