DWU senior exec dies

 DIVINE Word University is mourning the passing of one of its senior executives Br Andrew Simpson.

Andrew, the university’s vice-president student affairs, passed away at his home at the Madang campus last Wednesday night.

Condolence messages from former and current DWU students and staff have been pouring in through social media for the man who had always been at the forefront of student activities.

DWU president Fr Jan Czuba said: “We all respect Br Andrew Simpson very much and we will all miss him.”

Czuba said Andrew’s family in Australia and the Christian Brother congregation had decided that he be laid to rest in Madang among those he loved and worked with.
