COACH Robert Okole has a huge task to ensure his young Brown Eagles outfit makes the top five this weekend in the Port Moresby men’s A grade softball competition.
The sixth-placed Matupit team have a tough draw against Yokomo in the last game of the round on Sunday.
They meet Mantarays tomorrow and should beat the cellar dwellers.
Sunday’s game presents their biggest challenge.
The Eagles pitcher-catcher combination of Clemet Okole and Graham Kinavai are the key as the pair have orchestrated most of the side’s wins.
The Eagles hopes of making  the top five rests on Bears and Gazelle beating Defence on Saturday and Sunday.
Defence were thrashed 8-0 by PNG Power 8-0 and need a complete form reversal this weekend.
Defence are on 22 points while Brown Eagles on 21, so the stakes are high for both sides.
On current form, the Eagles may sneak through to the playoffs once the dust settles at the Bisini diamonds this weekend.
Meanwhile, the minor premiership is still up for grabs.
It is likely a two-way battle between Gazelle and United Brothers.
Brothers have the advantage of playing twice over the weekend while Gazelle have one match.
The antelopes have the bye on Saturday then meet the men from Murray Barracks on Sunday .
Gazelle are leading the competition with 31 points and United Brothers tail them on 30.
