THE Port Moresby men’s softball competition is well into the middle of its final round and teams below the fifth spot will be all out to register wins in order to keep up with the pace setters.

The Brown Eagles and Defence encounter will be a thriller where the Eagles must win to be on par (10) with their opponents.

A loss will leave them on eight points and if Gazelle wins its double headers against Wolves and Mantarays will place them equal on 8 points apiece. A win by Defence will place them on 12 points.

Mantarays have a mammoth task at hand as they meet United Brothers at 9am and MP Gazelle in the main game of the day. They must win at least one game to maintain fourth place as a loss and a win by Defence will drop them to fifth place.

The PNG Power and Bears game will also be a must-win for the PNG Power men as they are currently on seventh place with one wash-out game yet to be played. As for Bears, a win will maintain them at the top of the ladder.
